Kelsey Johnson Unit 8 Climate change impacts our lives in various different ways. 55 minutes ago One example is Hotter temperatures. Increased temperatures and heat waves can cause heat related illnesses. Also, the higher temperatures can be a cause of wildfires across the country. These wildfires can claim lives, homes, cars, etc. Rising sea levels is another example. A ride in sea levels creates a big risk for those that live in coastal areas or islands. It also makes the sea more acidic which is harmful to marine life. Some more examples include, Drought, which can affect crops, that feed many people. Storms and Flooding may become more severe or even fatal, and cause people to have to relocate from there homes. Things we can do as humans can do to migitate or even reverse this damage are weatherize out houses, try to drive less often, wash clothes with cold water instead of warm, hang out our clothes instead of using a dryer, change our light bulbs to more eco friendly ones, reduce, reuse, recycle, take shorter showers, turn of the lights in our homes when we are not using them, plant trees, and even unplug electronics when they are not in use.
