This week we learned a little about what's going on inside the mind of a serial killer. For the discussion, we are going to go inside the mind of a serial killer using the Revised Psychopathy Checklist on Page 100 and at Psychopath ChecklistLinks to an external site. in a more simple format.

Look back at either of the killers you studied in the first case study. Now use the checklist to determine whether or not the checklist would define them as a psychopath. When looking over the 20 items on the list, give 0 points if it doesn't apply to them at all, 1 point if it somewhat applies and 2 points if it definitely applies. Now score the killer and see if they reach the 30 point threshold for psychopathy. Explain why you agree or disagree with the score and findings.

Finally, give your opinion on whether or not you think they are "insane" using theWhat Does "Not Guilty By Reason Of Insanity" Mean? video (FROM THE LEARNING ACTIVITY PAGE) as reference.

If either you didn't choose a killer that works for the test, or if you'd like to look at another killer, feel free to use them as an example for your discussion board posting.
