Objective: To identify and select the companies that you will use to apply the professional selling concepts throughout the Major Selling Project and supplemental assignments in the course.
Instructions: Think about a business problem that needs to be solved, then who might have a solution and finally who you could sell it to.Identify your prospective choices company/product/customer by end of Week 4 to your facilitator for approval.
Example: Heartland Payroll Systemsselling payroll services tothe Ottawa Hospital.
Key considerations...
- Business to Business (B2B) selling only.
- Select 3 choices for who you would sell for and a product/service you would sell. Remember a product/service that solves a business problem is the ideal.
- Then select the business customer account you will sell that product/service to. Should have 3 choices here too.
- Publically traded companies websites will have the most useful information as they must provide data for investors. These make the best choices for ease of data gathering.
- Want to go private? Must have websites or they are too small for this project.
- Avoid selections where you are selling to a resellerie Apple iPhones to Rogers for resale with their plans. These are often too complex and will result in you taking up too of your own time researching
- Include links to all of the websites that you pick.
