Kindly briefly summarise and paraphrase the below content.
System Integrators (SysInteg) is faced with the challenge of reducing waste and reducing its lead time which will ultimately help the company remain competitive. This problem is evident based on the fact that disk packs being put in the storage area take 45 days before they are scheduled for inspection. Also, the process of first article reporting takes about 90 minutes to complete and does not add value to the process as the process is just repetitive. A root cause analysis was done to ascertain the actual cause of the issue affecting SysInteg. Analysis was done using the Pareto Analysis also known as the 80/20 rule. The rule states that 80% of the problems are caused by 20% of the sources. Here, the possible issues were identified, and their frequency was ascertained and ranked. A Pareto chart in the form of a bar chart was created and focus was put on important things. It was evident that the most important cause of the troubles facing SysInteg was Delayed Inspection. Recommendations were suggested that would help SysInteg to resolve this issue. We recommended that SysInteg should hire a Certified Quality Assurance Representative (CQAR) from outside to join the Sys Integ team and later have an in-house team of quality inspectors who would be responsible for quality inspections in terms of dimensions, quantity, sizes, and other specifications as mentioned by XS Inc. Secondly, we recommended that SysInteg should communicate with DP using alternatives such as skype, google meet, and Webex anytime they are unable to reach each other on phone to resolve inspection issues. We again suggested that Disc packs should be scheduled for inspection as soon as they get to the receiving area. Our last recommendation was that Sys Integ should look for more or additional vendors. A decision-making criterion was used to determine the best solution that would enable SysInteg to get value. Upon analysis, it was determined that hiring a Certified Quality Assurance Representative (CQAR) from outside to join the Sys Integ team and later have an in-house team of quality inspectors who would be responsible for quality inspections in terms of dimensions, quantity, sizes and other specifications as mentioned by XS In was the best solution which would provide value for the business. This solution would be implemented in three stages ie. short-term, medium-term, and long-term. In the short term, Sysinteg should hire a Certified Quality Assurance Representative (CQAR) from outside to join the Sys Integ team. In the medium term, Sys Integ should come up with a training program for having Quality assurance personnel and test it out if it's working for them in terms of operational efficiency and costs. Finally, in the long term, Sys Integ can have an in-house team of quality inspectors who would be responsible for quality inspections.
