Kinon - Repeated Measures ANOVA In-Class Activity Vin has decided that what he has called "Vin treatment" is better than STP treatment; STP treatment being better than no treatment (Better = cars go faster!). In order to investigate his question, Vin did the following: (1) flushed the systems of 5 cars, gave them standard treatment and then measured the maximum speed attained of each of the 5 cars (2) flushed the systems of the 5 cars, administered STP treatment to all of the 5 cars and then measured maximum speed attained; (3) flushed the systems of the 5 cars, administered Vin treatment to all of the 5 cars and then measured maximum speed attained. The following data were obtained: No STP STP Vin (X1) (X2) (X3) SI 138 140 200 S2 85 80 130 S3 90 88 120 S4 80 85 100 120 110 155 1. Determine the independent and dependent variables. 2. Determine the null and alternative hypothesis. 3. Perform a one-way ANOVA. 4. Reject or accept the null hypothesis and interpret. 5. Conduct paired comparisons (i.e., Tukey's HSD). 6. Calculate the d effect size and interpret - for significant paired comparisons
