Using the Government of Canada'sJob Bank Labour Marketexploration tool,select your province, then you will research and answer the following questions as related only to your current program of study with Robertson College. Be sure to include direct web links for each response to support your findings.
- What is your current program of study with Robertson College?
- Which province or territory do you reside in?
- What is the region (community/area) you reside in?
- What is your occupation's NOC code? (NOC stands for National Occupation Code)
- What are the low, medium, and high wage ranges for your chosen occupation-specific to your region?
- What is the job outlook for your chosen occupation in your region? The job outlook can be Undetermined, Limited, Fair, or Good.
- What considerations must you make when searching for employment in the next 6 months? For example, child care arrangements, transit, carpooling, the distance you're willing to travel, accommodations (health), etc.
- Using theLMI Explorer (Beta), enter your NOC code, your town/city, and click Explore. Hover over the flashing red dot for your chosen city/town, and refer to the pop-up screen. At the bottom of the pop-up, there is a heading "LMI news from this region". Click on the link to the available headlines, and choose one headline that is potentially related to your chosen occupation/program of study (think outside the box!).
