Lama is the night manager at a doughnut shop that is doing very well. Lama runs the night shift by herself, since none of the other employees want to work at night. Lama has not been able to find anyone to work for her and therefore has never missed one day of work. Lama makes her deposit every morning before going home. The franchise owner, Suzan Jones, has praised Lama for her hard work and dedication to the company. Suzan's only concern is that, once or twice a week, an entire batch of traditional glazed doughnuts has been thrown away because of over-baking. Despite these problems, Lama maintains a clean work environment and is considered a valuable employee. Recently, Lama has yelled at people on shifts before and after her for seemingly insignificant reasons. Her recent irritability could stem from the fact that business is slowing down and she does not have much interaction with anyone at night.
She also has been complaining that she has not been getting very much sleep. One day.
Lama came to work in a new Mercedes GL 400, the car of her dreams. Lama said that her dad helped her buy the car.
Required:
Identify and explain the symptoms of fraud that appear to exist at the doughnut shop.
