Language development is most rapid in the first few years of life. As a result of growing up in a technologically advanced society, many children nowadays spend less time interacting with others in person and more time staring at screens. The effects of screen time on children's maturation have been the subject of extensive study.

Consider the following arguments in favor of and against the use of screens in the development of children's languages. How might technology help with this process, and what problems could it cause? For each argument (for and against), I'd like to see three supporting points.
