1. SGR Sdn Bhd (SGR) chartered a ship called the Herron from Fast Logistics Sdn Bhd (FL) and contracted to carry a cargo of sugar from Port Klang to Calcutta. FL knew that SGR were sugar merchants and that there was a sugar market at alcutta, FL delayed delivery to Calcutta by nine days. During these nine days, the sugar market at Calcutta fell, SGR lost rofits because they had to sell their sugar at a lower price. SGR claimed as damages the amount representing the difference in the price that their cargo of sugar had realised upon delivery and the price it would have fetched if the cargo had been delivered as originally scheduled. FL. refused to pay. Advise the parties. (10 marks)
