LEAD.301.C1 Personal Leadership Week 10 Discussion Forum-Difficult Conversations This week, we focus on the important skill of holding a difficult conversation. This is one of the most important skills that a leader can possess and also, unfortunately, is often in short supply.

TO DO: Think of a difficult conversation you have had that went wrong. What two to three things made it so ineffective? Now think of a difficult conversation experiment you are going to have in the next week and sort out the three conversations: Write out the what happened conversation facts What are you feeling What is being triggered in the identity conversation for you Write out how you would sort it out Next, explore how this plays out in each conversation when you switch to a learning stance. What is your purpose in having the conversation? What are your opening lines? In your initial post, write out aaa summary of your preparation from above. Make sure it is enough so that everyone understands the conversation and how you have applied this framework.
