Sandra Jones was recently hired as the CEO of ABC Residential LTSS Corp, a private, for-profit, organization with two Skilled Nursing Facilities and three Assisted Living residences. The Company had been steadily losing money. Staff turnover is high. Resident satisfaction is low. Staff members report the atmosphere in all facilities is toxic. Residents report that they feel they have no control over their decisions and often feel neglected.

The board of directors hired Sandra to turn the company around. The have charged her with initiating culture change in all locations, implementing a person -centered service model in all locations, and developing residences focused on respect for all residents and staff. They also expect her to fill all beds, break even in three years and turn a profit in five years.
