Lean Six Sigma Management

Directions: Provide detailed responses to each of the assignment parts below.

Part 1. Assess and prioritize the three project charters (attached) for this assignment using the Project Prioritization spreadsheet (also attached). Assume all projects must be executed, but not all at once.

Submit:

a. The spreadsheet containing your rating details

b. A benefit effort diagram - this can be a simple rectangle showing benefit along one axis and Effort along the other axis. Simply co-locate the 3 projects relative to one another on the Benefit / Effort continuum.

c. A summary containing the project priorities with your rationale for each, and comment on what additional criteria you would recommend to make the prioritization assessment better.

Part 2. Complete the Black Belt competency self-assessment (attached).

Submit: a. A copy of your raw self-assessment ratings

b. A summary describing your overall performance competency ratings.

c. A summary of the few areas that you would suggest strengthening or improving yourself toward becoming a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt based on the specific criteria/line items containing your lowest rated areas within this assessment.

Part 3. Go to http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp Browse the page for general information. Follow the instructions to complete the Jung Typology Test. Once complete, this site provides results in the form of an analysis summary similar to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality inventory.

a. Based on the results from the Jung Typology Test, provide a written summary describing your personality type (the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator that best describes you, i.e., ENTJ) and the characteristics that you agree with provided to you in the analysis results. Feel free to lift (copy/paste) most of this directly from the analysis results.

b. Scroll down in the page describing your 'type' to find the other "types". Look at the description of your exact opposite type (for example, if you're an ENTJ, look up the description of an ISFP).

  • Describe how you might attempt to work/get along with this personality type in a team environment.
  • As a deployment leader, how might you leverage their preferences?
  • As a deployment leader, what work situations or types of work might you want to help them avoid?
