Lebanon has maintained the same exchange rate between the Lebanese Pound and the US dollar for

more than 20 years. Some argue that continuing with this system is unsustainable for the central bank,

while others fear that, given its political situation, Lebanon might face a crisis if its currency is unpegged

from the U.S. dollar.
