Lee and his two brothers Ting and Lui ran a shop in Ipoh. Over the years the business became very successful and the businesses expanded and they became involved in property development, and they also owned a successful computer shop. The net value of the business grew to RM40 m. Each of the three brothers are married and have children However, over the last 5 years, the three brothers fell out. Ting and Lui did not like Lee. At a board meeting in 2020, Ting and Lui voted to remove Lee as a director of all the companies in the group. Lee remained as a shareholder. Ting and Lui as the remaining directors paid themselves large director' 5 fees and also employed their own family members on high salaries that were higher than if they had employed outside people to do the work.
