The company has been receiving an overwhelming response to electrical and electronic products from customers. As such, the company decides to invest in a computerized system. To facilitate this change, an information technology department was established in December 2019. For a start, they wanted to computerize the cash disbursement system of the company.

As the owner of the company, you have met Encik Hakim, the IT manager, to discuss on how to develop a new system. En Hakim agrees to assist but he need to get a formal system request. You are now in the process of preparing the related documents.

Encik Hakim proposes features that the new cash disbursement system will use a standard application software packages. The usage of standard packages enable them to reduce the cost and save time, besides being a high quality system. However, the managing director, Encik Akhyar, was against the idea of using standard application software packages approach. Encik Akhyar intends to set up a steering committee in order to develop a new information system.
