Lets apply Le Chtelier's Principle in a series of thought experiments. (6 pts)
a. Imagine that you drop 1 g of clean powdered activated carbon (PAC) into a water sample with 2 mg/L of Chemical X. Sketch graphs of the concentrations in the water and on the PAC (that is, x/m) as a function of time until the system reaches equilibrium.
b. After the system in part a reaches equilibrium you drop another gram of PAC into the sample. Sketch the same graphs.
c. After the system comes to equilibrium in part b, you filter out the PAC and drop it into a clean water sample with no Chemical X. Sketch the graphs.
