Levinson believed that most men and women in middle adulthood have experienced substantial inner turmoil, better known as a midlife crisis (Feldman, 2017). The pervasiveness of this experience has been shown to be a myth. Why do you think so many people believe in this? Also, do you believe that a midlife crisis is an adaptive developmental piece which represents age awareness and the need to change habits for youth preservation?
