Linda owns a backhoe and does small, residential construction jobs. She doesn't have any employees, wants to expand her little company and decides she could use a small bulldozer but didn't want to go into debt to do so. Julia down the street owns and operates Julia's Dozer Services, a sole proprietorship, and she own a bulldozer, so Linda decides to talk to Julia about possibly partnering with her on jobs. However, Linda has heard some stories about mistakes Julia has made on construction sites, so she's worried about being held accountable for someone else's actions.
