The budget over the years has increased in overall. there are years that the budget has gone down but overall it has increased by billions of dollars. In my paper we use yearly budget data since 1962 to 2017 to show that the relationship of military budget has increase over the years. I use 56 years of data. Military budget data information was taken from White House office of management and budget. The upwards trend was slow has the years past, but there were a few years that the spending was in the downwards then it was back to an upwards trend. The upwards trend started to increases rapidly starting in 2002, that rapidly increase was when the war in Iraq and Afghanistan started.
