Lion Forest is playing golf at a public golf course in Sydney. He is very keen and tends to go too fast and want to play ahead of other people. At the ninth hole he begins by hitting his ball onto the green. This is very exciting so he runs up to the green and grabs his putter (a golf club) out of his golf bag. Pauline is still on the green as she has been slow in finishing up the hole and she is concentrating on trying to hit her ball into the hole, when Lion's putter hits her in the leg as he raises it to putt. Pauline is quite badly hurt as the putter hit her on the shin and she is unable to walk for a little while and has to be carried off the green. She is understandably very angry with Lion, but he, having got his ball in, in one more shot, is delighted with himself and persuades her to go and have a drink with him in the golf club. While they are having a drink, Pauline rings her boyfriend Geoff and tells him what has happened and hands the phone over to Lion. Geoff says, 'If you have hurt my girl I am going to come and beat you up. I'm just around the corner'. Lion is a bit concerned, especially after Pauline tells him that her boyfriend is a boxer and has boxed against Anthony Mundine. The phone rings and Pauline says to Lion 'He says he is coming over right now. You had better come in my car with me so you can get away from him.I He gets in the car with her, whereupon she says 'Gotcha! I'm going to take you to his place now and he can do you over. How dare you think you can make up for hurting me like that byjust buying me a drink.' She begins to drive and Lion is forced to stay in the car because he thinks he would be badly injured if he tried to jump out. For 15 minutes she drives around the city and then eventually she stops and pushes him out of the car while she is in the middle lane and the traffic is moving. She pushes him straight into a car which is stopped next to them and Lion breaks his shoulder as he hits the car. You are a solicitor. Pauline comes to you for advice. Advise Pauline on whether she has any cause of action in trespass against Lion and whether Lion has a cause of action in trespass against Pauline and/or Geoff and whether any of these actions is likely to succeed. Do not consider the Civil Liability Act 2002 (NSW) or any other legislation in your answer, but you must refer to cases
