List 10 values you feel a good leader should have (e.g., integrity, competence, open-mindedness). Once you have 10 values listed, then put a star next to the three most important values. Once you are done, think about a time when you had to be a leader. This does not necessarily have to be a formal leadership role; it can even be a time when you stood up for something, or when you served as a role model or mentor for someone else. Next, revisit your list of leadership values, and circle (or highlight) any that you believed you demonstrated during that experience. Were you exhibiting the values you believed are important?
