1. Look up the molecular structure of the polar liquid that you used, as well as the oil (oil is a mixture of many different molecules; do a bit of research and pick one molecule to represent oil), and soap (again, there is not just one molecule for soap; do some research and find a representative soap molecule). Include these molecular structures in your report. You can hand draw them in your notebook.
2. For each observation that you made, use your knowledge of the structures to propose an explanation of what was happening on the molecular level.
