The maximum supplying capacities from Dallas, Los Angeles and Detroit are 1000, 2000 and 1700 cars whereas the demands at Denver and Orlando are 1200 and 1500 cars per month, respectively. The transportation cost is $0.08/car/mile. The unit cost of transportation per car, c(ij) from manufacturing city i (i=1,2,3)to DC j, (j = 1,2) is given at top-right corner of each cell in the following table.Formulate the problem as a linear programming problem.
