The incident happened in Winter Haven which is in Polk County.B$.$ The criminal complaint against Barney Grumble would be given to Florida County court. The court has authority over criminal cases, and it proven the right court to be at because the imprisonment would not go over more than a year and would hear the minor charges.$2.$ The Plaintiff would be Homer Simpson because hes the one who got injured. The defendants would be Moe Szyslak, Barney Grumble, and Moes Bar because they were the ones to cause to incident to Homer.$3.$ First the defendants would be served with the complaint once its filed, after they receive it they have a limited time to give a response or they would have to reply with pleading. Next, both parties would have to exchange relevant information and evidence so they can continue to the discovery process. Finally, the pretrial motions from both parties would either include a summary judgement or a motion for them to dismiss the case. For any reason the matter is not settled then it will move to being into a trail where a judge or jury would decide who is at fault and how much harm was caused. The lawsuit Mr$.$ Hurtz filed would include where Homers injuries were, the date, the time, and the place he fell.$4.$ The other actions would be through settlement negotiations or other alternatives to dispute the procedures like arbitration or mediation, both parties would try to end their legal disagreements. But with the settlement being absence the lawsuit would end up going to trail.$5.$ The court the appeal would be filed in would have to be Floridas Second District Court of Appeal.
