Lucas signed a deed to give his 2-hectare land in Bowral to Harrison. Lucas believed that he was only letting Harrison stay in his property for the rest of his life, when he was in fact giving his land to Harrison forever. Lucas cannot read nor write English (but can speak it), has no experience in business or contracts, and possesses low intelligence. Harrison had been a close friend of Lucas' family for many years, and the latter often came to him in the past for advice and friendship.
