Lucian: "E null. J. Tough guise Jackson KBIZ Kata discusses that society has socially constructed men to uphold the typical tough guy act. The typical tough guy act is being overly aggressive and violent for no apparent reason. Kat: believed this causes a man to act out in these ways because if not they would be called names such as a faggot which would he a threat to their manhood. in order to prove themselves as a man, they act in toxic ways and media portrays the ideal man as a tough guy, this was seen through movies such as Scarface and advertisements through videos games such as call of duty This is related to toxic masculinities since it puts the rest of society in danger and in the case of women degrades them. This is related to race and privilege as being white in society can be seen as a get out of jail free card, when a black or other minority man commits a crime the first thing the news media outlet states is their racial profile. However this is not the case of the white man, when they commit a crime they are labelled as a murderer or a killer, instead of calling them a white man, they are stated in racial and gender-free terms. Katz discusses that on the rare occasion a women does commit a crime they go to the conclusion that she herself was not normal or is faced women labels such as bad women
