Machine products PLC had their factory renovated at a cost of 1,500,000.00 by Hopeless Contractor PLC. The work was completed, and the invoice was issued for 1,500,000.00. Machine products were not satisfied with the work, and asked the contractors to return and complete the job to their satisfaction.After several months they were still not satisfied, and offered to pay 1,000,000.00, and the rest after they were satisfied with the job.The contractors accepted the cheque, and signed a letter of waiver of claim. They signed the documents, but are now seeking the outstanding amount.
