Preliminary Questions:

Play around with the "Magnetometer" part of the app to build some intuition, then answer the following questions based on your observations.

  1. How do you think the magnetic field depends on the distance from a magnet?

  1. Write down an equation which you think describes the magnetic field B at a distance R from a magnet.

Experiment:

  1. Design your own experiment to find the relationship between the magnetic field and the distance from the magnet.
