This leads me to believe that many of our community's citizens may lack the financial resources to purchase and maintain a vehicle. Due to the rural nature of my region, not many resources are within walking distance. This could be a big issue for those who do not own any mode of transportation. Unfortunately, our area does not have a good solution for public transportation. There are a few public transit vans owned and operated by the county, but this is the extent of transportation available to locals Though these public transit vans can benefit some, there are not many, so access is limited. Additionally, these vehicles only travel within the county. This is a problem for those who need transportation to specialist doctors because there are virtually no specialists near our city.
