make a reply comment to this question When I think about the kind of manager I want to be in the future, my goal is to be a leader that is open to new things and who is constantly ready to learn from my patients, employees, and my coworkers. I have always believed that if you don't understand something thoroughly, you should ask questions respectfully. I think this could also apply when it comes to learning a patient or staff members culture in the workplace, and hopefully that person is open to your questions and willing to embrace your curiosity. As a leader, I would also implement policies and guidelines that promote cultural competence which I think is important because unfortunately we still live in a world where racism and discrimination is among us, and it needs to be known that racism and discrimination will not be tolerated in the workplace
