Andrew went to Carl's Motor (a second-hand car dealer) to purchase a second-hand BMW model 530 Having seen a black BMW which he liked, he asked the dealer whether it was "stock standard" and no modification was done to the engine as it will be used by Andrew's wife. The dealer, knowing that it was a modified version with a changed racing gearbox, nevertheless assured Andrew that it was stock standard. After the purchase transaction was done, Andrew's friend who is a car mechanic informs Andrew that his car is not stock standard having looked at the engine in his garage. The car also consumes more fuel due to the modification. Advise Andrew of his contractual rights, if any, against Carl's Motor in relation to the purchase of the car. ABC O C E E 123
