The vas deferens or ductus deferens is the tube running through the inguinal canal out of each scrotal sac. The vas deferens from each testis can be seen inside the abdominal cavity where they empty into the urethra by joining together to form the ejaculatory duct. Vas deferens and the ejaculatory duct transport sperm. 6. The seminal vesicles are paired glands located dorsally where the ejaculatory duct forms. Seminal vesicles produce a sugar solution, which sperm use for energy, 7. The prostate gland is a gland located at the junction of the ejaculatory duct and the urethra. The prostate gland produces an alkaline {basic} solution to neutralize the acidity in the vagina so the sperm can survive. 8. The Cowper's glands or bulbourethral glands are small structures located on each side of the urethra where it joins the penis. Cowper's glands produce a lubricating solution to aid in copulation. 9. The urethra runs through the penis 'om the urinary bladder to the outside. 10. The corpus cavernosurn is erectile tissue running nearly the length of the penis. The corpus cavernosum is anterior to the corpus spongiosum. 11. The corpus spongiosum is the erectile structure located around the urethra in the penis. 12. The foreskin is the retractable skin covering the outer end of the penis. The foreskin is oen removed by circumcision. 13. The pubic bone or pubis is the ventral portion of the pelvic (hip) bone. 14. The sacrum is a bony structure posterior to the vertebrae that supports and stabilizes the pelvis. 15. The eoeeyx, or tail bone, is a vestigial structure composed of several small fused vertebrae posterior to the sacrum. 16. The rectum stores digestive waste, called feces, and the anus expels the feces from the body.
