Managing Project:

The renowned multinational pharmaceutical company Cosmo Health Care (CHC) has awarded a contract to EBT to develop and manufacture a personal rapid test kit for Covid-Pi under CHC's brand name. EBT's management is excited on this first opportunity to work with CHC. It gathers a team of talented staff who have worked together in other successful product development projects. For ease of collaboration, CHC requests the EBT development team to be located in its premise to work closely with its own team, and to use its facilities for the test kit development. To speed up product development off-site, EBT's management gives the team more autonomy in making decisions.

(i) Define a Project. Consider four (4) current drivers of Project Management that are relevant to the development of a personal rapid test kit for Covid-Pi, relate each driver to the case's situation and explain why implementing the test kit development on a project basis will address the driver's concern. (26 marks)

(ii) The EBT management calls this development project the "Covid-Pi Test Kit (CTK) Project". For each of the four potential Project Team pitfalls that may happen in the CTK Project, inspect its cause and impact, then recommend a plan to prevent or mitigate the pitfall. (32 marks)
