mange 4Q

Assignment requires you to critically examine the American Psychological Association code of ethics. But does the code of ethics from your own profession withstand moral analysis? Find a code of ethics online from your profession and share the link here. Here are some guidelines:

The code should be provided by a professional organization or by a specific employer. If you're unsure what a professional organization is, professional organizations typically regulate the kind of activities in which members of the profession can engage, provide leadership, host annual regional and nationwide meetings, establish guidelines for professional development, and sometimes set entrance and renewal requirements for being a member of the profession. For example, some professional organizations are the American Bar Association (for lawyers), the American Medical Association (for doctors), and the American Philosophical Association (for professional philosophers). Look around online and you will find a professional organization for your chosen career. If you select a code from a specific employer, it should be more than merely a mission/vision/values statement. A code is distinct from such statements in that it will outline specific kinds of conduct that are demanded and prohibited among professionals and/or employees of the organization. You may select a code of ethics associated with the career path to which you aspire rather than one associated with your current job. Ideally, the code you select will be associated with a profession that people with your major typically enter. For example, many people who major in Criminal Justice enter law enforcement in some capacity. It would thus be appropriate, if your major is Criminal Justice, to select a code of ethics for a specific law enforcement agency that might employ you in the future, such as the Baltimore City Police or FBI. It would also be appropriate, however, to select a code of ethics from a nationwide professional organization. Whatever your major, envision some future careers you might have with a degree in that subject and select a code of ethics accordingly. **Note that your final paper in this class requires you to analyze a professional code of ethics from your present or future career. You are not required to use the same code of ethics in that paper that you share here, but ideally you would do so! Make your work count. Invest a little time now to make your later work easier. Once you identify and share a link to your professional code of ethics, briefly summarize a few key provisions of the code and explain how they might aid professionals in their practice. When you look at the codes of your classmates, do you see any room for improvement in their professional guidelines? Looking forward to your thoughts!
