Many critics of college sports, football and basketball in particular, argue that athletes at the major universities are exploited by the monopsony power of the NCAA. On a graph, illustrate what nonunion athletes face in the market for their services. Then, on the same graph, illustrate what would happen in this labor market if college athletes formed a union. Make sure you discuss what would happen to the equilibrium number of players on each team, the earnings athletes would take in, and the impact on the difference between earnings and the marginal revenue product of labor.
