Many people have been involved with conducting an audit or know a business or individual who has been the subject of some type of audit. Regardless of your experience with auditing, odds are that you will experience an ethical issue at some point in your career. Ethical dilemmas are common in auditing practice, and auditors can potentially benefit from having a process for resolving them.

Share your previous experiences with auditing and your process for solving ethical dilemmas. Refer to the reading in Chapter 1 that discusses the various types of audits and the section in Chapter 3 that covers the decision making process for ethical dilemmas. Address the following:

1. Have you or a company you work for been involved in conducting or been the subject of an audit? Based on your reading from Chapter 1, what type of audit was it?

2. What was an ethical dilemma you have personally faced, and how did you resolve it? Was your process similar to or different from the process recommend in Chapter 3 of your text?

3. After you review the Final Project Guidelines and Rubric document, identify one thing you are excited to learn about in this course.
