Many research studies have shown that hormone replacement therapy (HRT) increases the risk of contracting several serious diseases. An experiment involving 4532 women was conducted, half of whom took HRT and half placebo. There were 40 cases of dementia in the hormone therapy group and 21 in the placebo group. Is there sufficient evidence to indicate that the risk of dementia is higher for patients undergoing HRT? Use 1% level of significance.
