Many seedstock producers are marketing bulls which are light birth weight and heavy yearling weight bulls. These bulls are often referred to as "curve benders". Have these bulls been selected to be genuinely "low birth weight" or are these bulls siring light birthweights because they sire calves with a shorter gestation period? What is your opinion and how would you prove or disprove this theory
