Many times employees are moved from a managerial role to a leadership role and often with little to no training on how to be successful let alone positive. Often these transitional leaders experience resentment and resistance from former peers. From the perspective of management vs leadership, is it easier for a manager to cross over to leadership or a leader to cross over to management?
