Many universities have switched over from their (legacy) learning management systems (LMS) to a new LMS over the past few years. The University of Wisconsin System in recent years switched from Desire2Learn to Canvas. The University of Minnesota made the transition to Canvas from open-source software Moodle. Arizona State University made the transition to Canvas from Blackboard.

Assume that you are working for the IT department of a public university and you have been assigned as the project manager to lead this transition to a new LMS.

• Identify the relevant stakeholders for such a project to enable the transition from an existing LMS to the new LMS at a university.
