Maori Dispute Resolution

1. Disputes about Mori land can be complex and difficult. The new mediation regime implemented as a part of the changes to Te Ture Whenua Mori Act 1993 establishes a dispute resolution process based on tikanga Mori to assist owners of Mori land to resolve disagreements and conflict about their land.
