2.Calijan John Mark, an 80-year old epileptic, boarded the S/S Salasayo Toni in Dumaguete City going to Dipolog. To disembark, the passengers have to walk through gang plank. While negotiating the gang plank, Calijan John Mark slipped and fell into the waters. Calijan John Mark was saved from drowning, brought to the hospital but after a month died from pneumonia. Except for Calijan John Mark, all the passengers were able to walk thru the gang plank. Is the owner of S/S Salasayo Toni liable for damages? Why?
