Mark is a young man of seventeen and a half years of age. He enters into a contract for the purchase of a motor vehicle and is duly assisted by his father. The purchase price of the vehicle is R400 000 and is presented by the seller, City Motors Ltd, as a 2020 model. After paying the purchase price and taking delivery of the vehicle, Mark discovers that it is in fact a 2010 model which is worth some R200 000 and not R400 000.
