The hotel was duly listed by the broker, and an inquirer, Robinson, was sent a list of hotels for sale and authorities to inspect the premises. Accompanying the list of hotels was a letter which said: If business is done, we shall act for you at the usual brokerage'. Robinson looked at the list and bought one of the hotels after direct negotiations with the owner. The hotel owner paid the broker a commission. Can the broker claim a commission from Robinson, the purchaser of the hotel?
