Mary discarded an old file cabinet. Joe found the file cabinet and took it home. When Joe opened the file cabinet he found a negotiable warehouse receipt inside. Joe placed an ad in the newspaper describing the cabinet and asking the owner to claim it. Mary did not see the ad. After 7 months Joe took the warehouse receipt to the warehouse and claimed the property listed in the receipt. Joe then took the goods and sold them from the trunk of his car at NCC.
