Material blending is a problem frequently encountered by manufacturing managers. Material blending involves identifying a specific mix of ingredients from a wide variety of alternatives relative to a set of constraints that include quality, cost, content percentages, etc. In the material blending problem, we may maximize or minimize these same variables. Typically, we seek to minimize the cost of the material blend
