MATH 202 Homework 2 Please write your solutions on separate paper, using proper notation, as we practiced during class, and leaving plenty of space both for my comments and for you to be able to revise your work! 1. Memorize the list of Differentiation Rules. Practice with those flashcards! Yell them from the rooftops! Be ready for another pop quiz on those on Friday. 2. In class on Wednesday, we did some targeted practice on the power rule, the sum rule, the constant multiple rule and the derivative of a constant rule. Please see the Current Week tab under Wednesday 8/24/22 for both a blank copy of the differentiation questions we tried, along with their solutions. Here is some more practice with these skills. As before, please avoid using Symbolab, Chegg, etc. We will discuss in class! Find the derivative of each of the following. a. f(x) = x-11 b. g(t) = - 1 1 c. P(t) = TE d. y=_ e. R(x) = Byz f. y=* 10 g. f(x) = 5x - 2 . sin(x) h. H(x) = x - 1/x i. z = 10* - 10e* + 10 tan x - n 3. We will systematically review product, quotient and chain rule on Friday. But here are some more to try in the meantime. Find the derivative of each of the following. a. f(x) = (3x2 + 2x -5)3 b. y = v4x2 - 2x c. h(t) = 7 . V2t + 10 d. W(x) = cos(3x) + cos3(x)
