So often, the buy in is simply not there because the reasons for change are not communicated effectively. I find that to be true in my workplace, and what's more, in my previous workplaces in healthcare. As a surgeon, almost every change is communicated poorly, with little or no effort dedicated to creating buy-in by the appropriate rank-and-file members of the team. This is strange to me because many of the changes make sense, if only some time is spent communicating the rationale for the change in a way that energizes all parties. (119 words). John
