Matt telephones the office of a lawyer friend of his, Jaymie, and tells Jaymie's secretary that Matt would like Jaymie to represent Matt in a DUI hearing scheduled in 10 days. Matt knows that this is Jaymie's specialty and Jaymie handles these kinds of cases all the time. Jaymie's secretary tells Matt to send in the papers related to his case. Matt calls Jaymie's office everyday until the hearing trying to get ahold of Jaymie to discuss Matt's case. Each time, the secretary promises to get a message to Jaymie. Nine days go by and Matt has not heard back from Jaymie and Jaymie never shows up to the hearing
