Matthew was a 17-year-old student in a private education institution taking an online game programming course. During his semester break, he was attached to an online gaming company called "DigiPen Game Design Pte Ltd" ("DGD"). Dinesh Shaman, the CEO of DGD, was very happy with Matthew's performance since Matthew was diligent and would often stay behind after office hours to test out new online games. Dinesh offered to train Matthew as a Marketing Executive with a view of employment subsequently with DGD and handed Matthew a "3 months' training contract" ("Contract"). Matthew had a quick look at the agreement and signed the Contract. After undergoing the training for 2 weeks, Matthew found that he had difficulties fulfilling the following terms in the Contract:

1. Use of mobile devices was strictly prohibited during the training period.

2. Trainees were provided with packed vegetarian meals for lunch and dinner.

3. Trainees were not entitled to leave the premises of DGD during the training which starts at 9 am and ends at 7 pm.

4. The management was entitled to extend the training hours without prior notice or additional allowance to the trainees.

During the first 2 weeks of training, Matthew had an upset stomach frequently because he was not used to eating packed vegetarian meals. Dinesh had been extending the training hours from 7 pm to 10 pm frequently. Andrew would like to get out of the contract.
